Individual volunteers must commit to volunteering at the House for at least 3 months.
There are currently three main volunteer categories that are worked in weekly, 3-hour shifts:

All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and must undergo a criminal and motor vehicle background check. The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas does not offer community service opportunities for community restitution. There is an application process that involves a visit to the House for a tour and interview, the completion of an application, and reference and criminal background checks. After an application is reviewed and the volunteer schedule has been established, volunteers are then scheduled for orientation and training.
